This new year at Grace Church-updated as of January 1, 2009
Happy new year! We've just taken down all the events from the Christmas calendar, and we're starting the process of filling in the events of the second half of this church year... Annual meetings, Bishop's visitation, Holy Week, classes and more will all be listed here in the next couple of weeks as plans firm up. Please visit soon to see how our plans are taking shape!
Every Thursday: Supper at Six, a community potluck supper open to all (there's never any charge). Bring a dish to share if you can, but if not, don't worry--there's always soup on the stove, and we've never once run out. Come for the food, come for the companionship, come for the conversation; and bring someone with you! Sunday, January 11: Annual Parish Meeting for the election of Officers and Vestry, and receipt of Committee reports: beginning with eucharist at 9 am, and continuing immediately into the business portion of the Meeting thereafter. Storm date: Sunday, January 18. Sunday, February 8: Visitation by the Bishop. The Rt. Rev. Steve Lane, Bishop of Maine, will be making his first formal visitation to Grace. Schedules and details will be announced shortly.
